It was as lit as it should get. The organisers of the annual "Vodafone Ghana Music Award 2018" (VGMA18) like they normally do, did put together another great package that had the happening crowd in Ghana all present and looking smashing on the red carpet at the upscale venue, Accra International Conference Center.  It's an annual gathering that those on the entertainment scene always look forward to yearly, so they came out in torrents like it was expected, looking all shades of lit and gorgeous, the award is normally referred to as Ghana's biggest music night and it actually lived up to expectations.

Our dear own queen of music from Nigeria, her royal gorgeousness in all ways wonderful and great, that's talking about "Tiwa Savage" was the 'queen belle' of the award night, the bombshell got all the right attention for looking like 'a million stars all shining at once' in their most incredible glory, she made us proud with her badass swag on the night that Nigeria's own Davido the incredible, continued on his incredible winning streak, when he won another award "Africa's best" that is 'BEST AFRICAN ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2018', adding to his already brimming/bloated shelves of award trophies and plaques and what have you. From last year to this year, the goodness has continued as awards upon awards just dey fall on him like an unrestrained waterfall. Tiwa was actually nominated in the same categoty with Davido, Wizkid, Olamide, Cassper Nyonvest, Toofan, and Nasty C.

One of the other highlights of the night, Saturday, April 14, 2018 was when the late Ghanaian dance hall queen was declared as the Artiste of the Year posthumously. Ebony Reign whose real names are Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng had died in February in a ghastly motor crash that killed her and 2 of the other occupants of the car she was in. This year would have been an incredible awesome year for her had she lived to see the night, which would have crowned her effort. She actually won 3 awards in all on the night, Artiste of the year, Album of the Year-Bonified and Afro Pop Song of the Year.

The other big winners of the night were Sarkodie who won 2 individual awards and 2 more with others, last year's Artiste of the year-Joe Mettle, a gospel artiste for that matter won 2 awards this year, in the gospel categories. One of Ghana's biggest artiste and most probably the richest and most fervently followed Shatta Wale got one award on the night.

More pictures after the break.
